Frank Shirar

Last year, Rover lost a good friend, Frank Shirar.(link).

As in any loss, you do what you can do and
just hope to give and find comfort to what ends you are capable and from what means you can avail.

It is with humble appreciation that we thank the theater community at large for supporting us in our nomination of Frank Shirar for the The Kathleen Freeman Spirit Award, presented Monday Night, March 3rd, 2008 at the Ninth Annual Column Awards.

Frank's son Paul Shirar accepted the award with Rover's Artistic Director Carol M. Rice. "My father hasn't been on stage for over a year and he's still winning awards," he said proudly.
