Alice Montgomery's portrayal of Grace Griswald, a stern
disapproving Jewish mother stricken with Alzheimer's Disease and
momentarily reclaimed by an experimental treatment was truly one
of the high points of the local theatre season.
|

Her
onstage transformation from hovering, unsatifiable matron
|
To
frightened, bewildered and paranoid senility

|

Then, under treatment, an enabled, self actualized and strong
woman even as her husband divorces her to remarry.
|
As
the treatment runs its course, she regresses
again to a simple childlike state
|
.
And finally
to a hollow
lonely shell
|
Her
brilliant Protean shapeshifting was among the most moving performances
of the year and we are so very proud to have had the honor to
work with her on a project that was absolutely the talk of the
town for months.
Congratulations
Alice and to the entire
cast and crew of Surviving Grace.
